Ketaki Datta is an Associate Professor of English with W.B.E.S. She is a novelist, short story writer, poet, translator, editor and reviewer. She has two novels to her credit, \u201cA Bird Alone\u201d [2008] and \u201cOne Year for Mourning\u201d [2014]. She has translated three novels, \u201cShesh Namaskar: The Last Salute\u201d [Sahitya Akademi, 2013], \u201cJarasandha\u2019s Paadi: The Voyage\u201d [Booksway, 2009], “Dhruvaputra” by Amar Mitra (in press), Selected Short Stories of Rabindranath Tagore in Translation\u201d [Avenel, 2015]. Some of her notable translations are \u201cKumarsambhab and Sakuntala\u201d in \u201cPracin Sahitya\u201d [Visva Bharati and CENTIL, J.U.,2017], \u201cNineteenth Century Women\u2019s Writing and Writing for Women in Translation\u201d [Bhawanipur Education Society College and CENTIL, J.U.,2015], \u201cPratibha India\u201d, anthologies like \u201cThree Stories\u201d by Tapan Bandyopadhyay [2012] etc. Datta\u2019s umpteen translated stories were published in \u201cIndian Literature\u201d [Sahitya Akademi]. Her \u201cOral Stories of the Totos\u201d has been recently published by Sahitya Akademi [2021].
